SERVING ST PAUL, MINNEAPOLIS, MENDOTA HEIGHTS, AND THE SURROUNDING METRO AREA
Complete Bath Gut & Rebuild — As Seen on TV's I Hate My Bath

When I Hate My Bath came calling, these homeowners had one request: vibrant and fun. The existing bathroom was demoed all the way to the studs, and in its place we built a bathroom with genuine personality — a custom wet room housing a sculptural freestanding slipper tub and dual showers, wrapped in a mix of natural texture and bold color.
A stacked-stone accent wall rises to a bamboo coffered ceiling fitted with wet-location lighting. Custom glass panels and a glass door enclose the wet room, accented with vivid orange and abstract art decals that carry through to the sink backsplash. Twin vessel sinks sit beneath an LED fog-free mirror. Every surface in the room was rebuilt from the framing out — plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, and finishes — on a television timeline.

CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Challenge: Television production deadlines don't move — but neither do building inspections.
Solution: We ran the project on two tracks at once: long hours and tight subcontractor coordination to hit the filming schedule, with every phase of rough-in and finish work sequenced around city inspections. The result passed both tests — camera-ready on deadline, and fully permitted and code-compliant like any other project we build.
Challenge: Creating a true wet room — tub and shower sharing one open, waterproof zone.
Solution: Built a fully waterproofed enclosure with a raised tub platform and a linear floor drain, so the freestanding tub and showers live behind glass in one seamless, easy-to-clean space.
Challenge: Wood ceilings and wet spaces don't naturally mix.
Solution: Installed a bamboo coffered ceiling with wet-location rated recessed lighting — bringing warmth and architectural interest into the steamiest room in the house, safely and to code.
Challenge: Delivering "vibrant and fun" without it feeling like a novelty that would age badly.
Solution: Grounded the bold elements — orange glass accents and abstract art decals on the panels and backsplash — with natural stacked stone, bamboo, and clean white fixtures, so the personality pops against a timeless base.
